ROMP Pink Peach REVIEW

Writing these blog posts is honestly one of my favourite parts of this job but, reviews are my FAVOURITE favourite things to write (clap if you’re shocked).  You can read my other reviews here and here. 

 

Absolutely thrilled to add the Pink Peach to my collection. (Why am I literally General Grievous but with sex toys?) 

 

 

I’m not going to spend much time going into the details of Air Pulse toy mechanics, since our last post was a breakdown of how they work which you can read here. This is purely going to be about this specific toy. 

 

First impressions (before having used it ✨biblically✨)

 

First of all I love ROMP. Fabulous brand, I have the Reverb from them which is something I reach for a lot. I have also bought at least four different friends toys from these guys and they have all loved them (I don’t remember the last time I bought someone a gift that wasn’t a sex toy and idk what that says about me.) Excellent motor quality and affordability aside, each toy comes with super cute stickers. HUGE fan of stickers, so already the Peach is off to a good start in my books. 

 

Next, it'sadorable. The little peach are you kidding meee? So stinking cute! I love that they included the stem/leaf bit on the charger rather than on the toy itself. From a practical standpoint it wouldn't have been the best to have the leaves stay attached (it would probably make cleaning trickier than it needed to be — but I appreciate that they found a way to include it.) 

 

If you’re in a situation where you might need to be a bit sneaky with your sex toys (like you live with family and don’t want them to know what you’ve got) this is a greatoption, because you could totally play it off.

“Ahaha my friend got me a fake peach, its an inside joke”

I love the fact that it’s a nice silky silicone all over, it's nice to hold and easy to clean. It sits pretty comfortably in the hand, but I will say that the shape kinda dictates how to hold it. What I mean by that is that with where the actual clit opening bit is and the slanted shape of it, I don’t think it would work as effectively if you were holding it from a different direction. 

 

I’ve found that having the peach groove (crack? The bit that makes it look like a butt) facing you is most comfortable. That also  puts the control buttons within super easy reach with your middle finger. Which makes it a good option for right handed or left handed people. (As opposed to the ROMP Kisswhich has the buttons way more easily accessible for right handed people)

Post actually having used it

 

Super nit picky but I do wish the buttons were switched, when you’re using it you essentially have it upside down, so the button at the top is the button that decreases the setting rather than increasing it. When I was using it I accidentally lowered the settings when I wanted to increase them a couple of times. Not the end of the world obviously but kinda annoying.

 

Ok so regarding shape. Because the bit where your clit goes is flush to the rest of the toy, when you’ve got it down there it's kinda difficult to get it in the right spot, especially if it's not turned on already — you're really going in blind. Obviously it's a bit easier if it's on but I still found it a bit tedious keeping it all aligned as it should be. It's basically a sphere with a bit smaller than a 5c coin that is supposed to stay in one spot, but since it's a sphere it rolls around pretty easily. Literally any teeny tiny shift of your wrist or hips and suddenly your fumbling around the clit worse than my high school boyfriend. 

 

I will also say I didn't necessarilyhatethe rolling motions, but I do think that it's inefficient. I’m not here to fuck spiders; I want a toy that gets the job done quick. It could also very well be a practice issue. I imagine if you used this all the time you would definitely get the hang of what positioning works best for you. 

 

My biggest issue and maybe this is just the toy that I had (as I write this I'm literally holding the store's demo model trying to see if it does this too) but after a while on the lower settings it’s like the motor kind ofstuttered. Like for a few pulses it would lose some of its oomphthen a second later it was back to what it should be, so I would get back into the groove only for it to stutter again. I’ve had this issue with other air pulse toys but I always assumed it was just because they were kinda old and maybe getting to the end of their lifespan. But now I suspect it’s common on the lowest/second lowest settings.

 

It doesn’t seem to happen on the higher settings, which is great because the last thing you want when you’re approaching the finish line is for a faulty toy setting to throw you off, but it's still frustrating that that seems to be a possibility on the lower settings when you’re in the build up phase. Again, maybe it’s just the one I have because I can’t detect anything amiss with the shop one.

 

With all that being said, the Pink Peach still absolutely works, it can totally get the job done. Would I recommend this toy? Absolutely. But there are definitely other air pulse toys I would recommend before this. The ROMP Shine (see also Satisfyer Pro 2 and Womanizer Pro) is just a way more efficient shape. But if having a sex toy that looks like a sex toy is an issue for you then the Peach is a really good under the radar option that performs pretty similarly.
